The MCDA-2-HV is a Differential input, high performance 1x2 Color Video Distribution Amplifier in a compact chassis. The MCDA-2-HV has gain and high frequency controls to compensate for signal loss, and the differential input amplifier is used to minimize or eliminate ground loop problems. The MCDA-2-HV is a active UTP / CAT-5 receiver and can be used to compensate for the signal losses caused by a video balon and CAT-5 / UPT cable. This unit is designed to use the power source of the camera that is feeding the unit. This product will work with a negative or positive ground system. Any power source other than a standard CVS supplied power supply must be fused on the (+) or "Hot" leg for safety reasons. This product is designed to be used in the field where normal AC power is not available. Battery or solar sources are good as well as AC inverters.
